What is the 14-day rule in Florida?

You have 14 days after the accident to get initial services and care. Section 627.736 of the Florida Statutes requires personal injury protection to pay 80% of reasonable expenses for medically necessary care only if you do. Reimbursement can reach $10,000 if a listed provider determines there was an emergency medical condition, and is limited to $2,500 if a listed provider determines there was none.

This page relies on the statute alone. The state's driver licensing agency site could not be read, so nothing here describes its forms or procedures.
